This edition of DOA will commemorate our twelve year anniversary! To celebrate this occasion, we are taking Hip Hop & Rap back their roots with ciphers! No flash, catchy hooks or dances, just straight up BARS! Our curator Stephanie Chambers is known to ask one question of any DOA performer. "Can you rap or nah?"
On Saturday June 20, Jason Da Hater, Mydes, Ricaché, & Yung Titan will not only answer that question themselves, but alongside groups of ciphers personally picked by them. There will also be two special guest performances by Ace Picasso & Mydes. DJ Tre Smallz will be on the 1's & 2's. And because it is the anniversary show, we will also add new members to the DOA HOF!
